1 RM Testing: Applicability

The 1RM test is administered only in cases in which the prospective trainee has enough lifting experience to make the test worthwhile, usually at least two years training experience. In addition, they must have performed sets of 5 reps or less within the last four weeks in order to be able to properly express a true one-rep, maximal effort.

If you are new to training, a 1RM test is obviously a poor way to begin. In that case, we may ask you to perform several movements and exercises at a far lower intensity level so that we may see you move, and get a basic understanding of your flexibility and strength.

Body Fat Analysis

We measure and record all your vital statistics to define your success. Your body fat analysis is conducted by collecting skin fold thicknesses measured with a Harpinden caliper, the best instrument in the industry.

The method of body fat calculation is a 12-site test developed by world-renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin, and gives supportive documentation to the functioning of your hormone profile. Your hormone profile is one of the most important aspects to your overall personal training success, so it is important to monitor it from the beginning.
